SCOUT SMOCK
The Scout Smock is an insulated, overhead, waterproof jacket with a proud special forces heritage. Designed for arduous conditions, the Scout Smock features an eVent® waterproof outer layer, lined with a Polartec® High Loft™ inner layer for maximum protection from rain, snow and cold temperatures.
The Scout Smock is designed to provide the ultimate protection from the elements through the use of uncompromising eVent® fabric technology. A 20,000HH and 20,000gsm2 membrane makes for a highly waterproof and highly breathable jacket, ideal for dynamic activities in wet and cold climates. Another unique benefit of eVent fabric is its mastery of Direct Venting™ technology – the work of billions of microscopic pores built into its membrane. This proprietary design allows instant venting of sweat from the inside of the jacket as you move and unlike conventional waterproof fabrics, it doesn’t need to get wet to work. eVent’s Direct Venting™ technology is a dry system and will keep you well ventilated and comfortable across a wider range of environmental conditions than ordinary waterproofs.
On the underside of the jacket, the Scout Smock has an insulated, fleece lining from Polartec®. High Loft™ has the greatest warmth to weight ratio of all Polartec® fleece fabric technologies. The patented high loft construction that gives the fabric its name helps trap more body warmth with the use of longer fleece yarns than conventional insulation. The resulting experience is that of a softer feel and maximum comfort. However, what really sets High Loft™ apart from everyday fleece fabric is its unique open mesh stitching which helps vent excess heat during exercise.
The Scout Smock design itself is packed with features from a microfleece lined kangaroo pocket to a double zip fastening around the neck allowing the face to be covered and exposed at will. Two waterproof side zips aid with both putting the jacket on and taking it off as well as offering the opportunity to vent heat if required. High tech Cohaesive™ cord lock technology enables the storm peak tipped hood to be cinched tight with ease, bolstering protection from the elements. Large hook and loop cuff fastenings can be adjusted when wearing gloves in order to minimise heat loss. An elasticated waist drawstring can also be pulled to keep the garment taut to the body and improve heat retention.

It utilises engineered components, adhesive, toolsets and procedures to install the world’s best cord management hardware. Adjustable on the inside of the hood, the Cohaesive® technology provides the ability to adjust and cinch the hood of the jacket effectively, easily accessible whilst wearing gloves and at a minimal weight burden to the jacket itself.
